Beautiful Sunset on North Shore MA. An Artists Inspiration

One night as I was driving past Ebben’s Creek in Essex, Mass. I glanced over as I usually do and just thought “Wow!” The high tide was creating a beautiful reflection in the water and the clouds were lit with orange and yellow. I drove back around and captured this image and shared in on Facebook. My friend and talented artist Fred Kepler saw it and remarked “This looks like a painting…it should be.” I remarked that yes it should and would love to see him paint it. Well sure enough he did!

Here is one of the photos I took that night.

Here is what Fred posted on Facebook a few days later.

And….here is it beautifully framed and up on my wall! My very thoughtful husband contacted Fred and surprised me with it at Christmas. It was very flattering and an honor to have one of my images turned into an original painting by Fred. (Notice how the orange of our wall nicely picks up the color in the clouds)
